A: Hi Vanessa! The best way to warm up before exercising is jump roping of course! If you can do basic jump roping techniques, then I suggest that you start your warm up by jump roping for at least 9 minutes. This will loosen up your joints, and increase your heart rate to get you ready for your workout. And you’ll be burning calories/fat as well. You can jump rope for 1-3 minutes nonstop, rest one minute between rounds, then continue until you’ve jumped roped for a total of at least 9 minutes. Your starting goal should be to jump rope nonstop for 2-3 minutes total between rounds. 9 minutes of jump roping = 3 rounds of 3 minutes with 1 minute rest.
Note: Your ultimate goal should be to jump rope for 15 consecutive minutes non-stop. That my friend is a Yenny Challenge!
